Abstract

As concept innovation has a profound impact on enterprise innovation, however, no research has yet explores the dimensions of concept innovation and its influencing factors. To address this omission, this research conducts two studies. First, following the literature in measurement theory, study 1 introduces the construct of concept innovation, which comprises three dimensions: enterprise belief, innovative cognition and corporate culture. The scale shows internal consistency, reliability, construct validity and nomological validity. Study 2 mainly explores the influencing factors of concept innovation, according to the empirical research, the results show that Crisis awareness and risk acceptance willingness positively affect concept Innovation, while the organization inertia has a negative effect on concept Innovation.
