Abstract

Frequency diverse array (FDA), which can be combined with Multiple-input-Multiple-output (MIMO) to improve the performance of system, and the range information provided by FDA-MIMO radar provides a new idea for suppressing main lobe interference. However, the periodicity of the angle-range two-dimensional beam pattern also causes some safety hazards to the radar beamforming process. When the interference is located in the grating lobe of FDA-MIMO radar, the related algorithm of beamforming will appear serious distortion. The traditional nonlinear frequency offset method to remove the periodicity of the beam pattern will cause the problem of large main lobe width.
