Abstract

In this paper, by using electromagnetic transparent antenna (ETA) and artificial magnetic conductor (AMC), the cross-band coupling and in-band coupling between low-band (LB) antenna and high-band (HB) antennas are significantly reduced. The profile of the LB antenna can be reduced by making use of the in-phase reflection characteristic of AMC. As for HB antennas, AMC can work as antenna decoupling surface (ADS). Due to the electromagnetic transparency of LB antenna, the HB radiation patterns are restored. With VSWR better than 1.5, the co-polarized and cross-polarized in-band couplings are reduced by about 8 dB and 9dB respectively.
