title = "Low-cost dual-polarized 60 GHz patch antenna array in PCB process",
abstract = "A 2 × 2 dual-polarized patch antenna array operating at 60 GHz is proposed. Based on the conventional low-cost standard PCB process, for the reliable antenna design a five-laminates stack-up structure is used to reduce the complexity of the manufacturing and cost. To improve the antenna bandwidth and gain performance, a stacked patch is adopted and two probe-fed structures are realized to support both horizontal and vertical polarizations. A 2 × 2 prototype is designed, fabricated, and measured for demonstration. For both polarizations, measurements show that their-10 dB impedance bandwidth can cover the entire 60 GHz band, and their isolation is lower than-22 dB. Moreover, their gain is higher than 10 dBi with a peak gain of about 11 dBi.",
