Abstract
A Linear Minimum Mean Square Error Parallel Interference Cancellation (LMMSE-PIC) scheme was proposed to cancel Multiple Access Interference (MUI) in uplink Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA). First, the Linear Minimum Mean Square Error (LMMSE) algorithm was derived to estimate the MUI. Then, the advantage of an iterative Parallel Interference Cancellation (PIC) method was taken to cancel the MUI. Simulation results illustrate the improvements that can be obtained from the proposed suppression schemes.
