Abstract
A lenslet-based snapshot channeled imaging spectropolarimeter (SCISP) system is presented. By introducing the multiple-image Fourier transform imaging spectrometer into the archetype of channeled spectropolarimetry, SCISP can simultaneously acquire the three-dimensional spatial and spectral (x,y,λ) data-cube for each of the Stokes parameters S0, S1, S2 and S3 in a snapshot using a single detector. The validity and accuracy of SCISP are showcased by attaining the outdoor spectral-polarimetric video and different laboratory accuracy experiments. Unlike conventional channeled spectropolarimeters, SCISP maintains the real snapshot feature (2D spatial imaging) and it is compact, robust. These capacities of the camera open new prospects for many applications, such as remote sensing, space exploration, and biological analysis.
