Lattice Boltzmann Simulation of Flow in Random Porous Media Constructed by Quartet Structure Generation Set

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Based on the wide application background of flow in porous media, this paper simulates the seepage of porous media. A porous medium model was generated by quartet structure generation set and the micro solid phase in the model was filtered. Then simulates the seepage in a pressure-driven porous medium by lattice Boltzmann method D2Q9 model. By comparing the simulation results with the calculation results of the well-known CK theoretical formula, it is found that the error is small when the porosity is high (the error is about 6% whenφ= 0.9). Results have shown that the permeability of porous media and the flow results of pore size obtained by the method in this paper are more accurate at high porosity.
