Abstract

The non-resonant KTP optical parametric oscillator (NRO) with two walkoff compensating crystals has been demonstrated, which is characteristic of single wavelength output at forward and backward direction and preventing from gain saturation. The KTP NRO is tunable from 0.698 μm-1.026 μm (signal) and 1.105 μm-2.237 μm (idler) without changing mirrors and other optical components. The signal output energy is about 53 mJ corresponding to 25.8% energy conversion efficiency and 40% quantum efficiency, and idler quantum efficiency of 32% is attained.
