Key technologies of steam-turbine-blade's parametric design

Abstract

To improve design efficiency and quality of a steam-turbine-blade, an Access database-centered parametric design software was developed by using VC++ language, which was based on UG platform. Key technologies of three-dimension modeling and two-dimension drawing were studied and key steps of blade-body modeling were given. In order to generate parametric blade's drawing, drawing layout algorithm was provided and a method to solve a phase inertial line was put forward, which combined optimization with B-spline interpolation method. To satisfy the parametric dimension requirements, a rotation method to develop dimension function was presented. The developed software has been applied to the blade design in a steam turbine corporation.
