Abstract

Studies and explorations of wireless power transmission technology carried out by electrical science and technology researchers are underway like a raging fire while its applications are expanding. As researches continue and develop, however, many key fundamental problems and some bottlenecks demand prompt solutions. This paper briefly reviews the recent research status of the technology and frames seven critical fundamental problems and four technical bottlenecks. Further prospects of wireless power transmission applications are summarized at last. In addition, the high-speed train featuring wireless power transmission technology proposed by the author's research team and the preliminary study carried out in this field are mainly introduced in this paper.
