Abstract

In the space Disruption-Tolerant Network (DTN), high-speed relative motion between the spacecraft-piggybacking nodes leads to rapid changes of link range, which incurs the time-varying properties of such channel parameters as Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and One-Way Light Time (OWLT). In this paper, we propose a joint optimization algorithm for bundle and segment sizes, which can update optimal sizes with time-discretized channel parameters. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively reduce the file delivery delay in the dynamic space DTN network.
