Abstract
We propose cooperative sensing and communication for wideband cognitive radio (CR), which allows second user (SU) to perform transmission and cooperative communication at the presence of primary user (PU). A joint optimization of the number of SUs and power allocation is proposed, which maximizes the total throughput of SUs while keeping the total throughput of PU above the normal throughput. Simulations show that the proposed joint optimization can achieve larger total throughput of SU while improving the throughput of PU with higher maximal power.
