Abstract

The problem of target tracking in the presence of glint is investigated in the paper. Traditional interactive multiple model filters for tracking with target glint were first summarized and then simplified multiple model filters were developed in full detail according to a Gaussian assumption in the interactive multiple model structure. Novel iterated filters based on unscented Kalman filter and extended Kalman filter were put forward and then combined with simplified multiple model algorithms in order to improve tracking performance. Compared with the standard simplified multiple model filter, the proposed filters has higher estimation accuracy plus faster convergence speed. Simulation results demonstrate the conclusion above.
