Abstract

The application of CAPON filter in ISAR imaging is studied. The CAPON method can estimate the parameters of the sinusoid and the precision is high. The high resolution ISAR image can be obtained by using CAPON method substitute to the Fourier transform when the target flights smoothly. At the same time, the CAPON method can be extended to estimate the Linear Frequency Modulated signal and obtain the ISAR image of a maneuvering target. The results of simulated data and real data validate the advantage of CAPON method.
