Abstract

Due to the irradiance non-uniformity over the heated object edge surface when plate type radiant heater is used to heating object, two improvement measures was put forward, and corresponding models were established, respectively. At the same time, the effect of related parameters on irradiation uniformity was analyzed by the method of algebra analysis of configuration factor. On the basic research of the two parallel surface of infinite length, one measure was adding one heating plane to the heater both ends, having identical temperature and characteristics with the heater. Results show that both the length of the side heater and its angle with vertical direction has influences on irradiation uniformity. The other was that the formal heater was divided into two parts, which were arranged inclined of the same angle with vertical direction. It's found that the value of area over which irradiance is uniform is affected by inclined angle of heater, and optimized angle is different according to the length of the heater. These two improvements can enlarge the area of irradiance uniform along object by optimization.
