Abstract

Ionic excimers have been studied as potential candidates of XUV laser media in recent years. Tens of excimers have been studied theoretically and experimentally. They can be mainly divided into three types which are enumerated. It is shown how excimer lasers can be formed through several ways. It is pointed out that detailed analysis of the kinetics is also useful in order to optimize the condition to obtain stronger radiation from ionic excimers.
