Abstract

This paper investigates the topology of 20MVA IGCT-based high power NPC/H-bridge inverter. The detailed structure design is presented. The commutation processes of IGCT equivalent circuit and NPC leg are analyzed, which are influenced by the snubber circuit and the characteristic of diode and IGCT. The system simulation model is built in PSIM. The simulation and experimental results validate the correctness of theoretical analysis.
