Abstract

In order to shorten the design cycle and reduce the blindness in the design process for multi-stage turbine, the Multilevel Aerodynamic Optimization Design System (MAODS) was used to guide a five stage turbine design. According to the standard of the MAODS, three-dimensional design was taken after scheme design. During the three-dimensional design process, population parameters and the distribution of parameters along radial direction should be taken into account. The optimization method was fullly used during the design process. The results show that the five stage turbine has met the design requirements, which prove that the design method is available.
