Abstract
The influence of fluidization air velocity and bed temperature on the fluidization time was investigated. And the formation mechnisem of agglomerate was studied too. The experment reults show that the obverious agglomeration phenomenon occurs when the bed temperature exceeds 750°C. The fluidization time reduces with the increase of bed temperature and the decrease of fluidization air velocity. Fluidization can be recovered by decreasing bed temperature below 700°C. The binding materials under different stage in the agglomerate were studied by the SEM/EDS analysis method. The results show that the binding material is formed by the biomass particles during the combustion, so a new agglomerate formation mechnisem is proposed. All the experimental results can be helpful for understanding the agglomeration of biomass-fired fluidized bed.
