Abstract
The experimental study of annular compressor cascades with three large camber angles at different incidences is carried out by measuring the static pressure and ink-trace flow visualizations for analyzing flow separation and vortex structure near wall. The results show the bubble separation and transition depend on the static pressure distribution on the blade surface. With increase of cascades loading, separation form develops from closed separation to open separation, and the symmetrical characteristic is weakened gradually. The weakening interaction of vortex and vertex, vertex and boundary layer is effective on extend the applied range of bowed blade.
