Abstract

This paper study an electromagnetic bearing system with a closed rotor structure, which is used in the harsh environment of high temperature, high pressure and humidity. Based on the traditional stator-air-gap-rotor electromagnetic bearing structure, a stainless steel shielding shell with a single side thickness of 4 mm is embedded. The magnetic flux mechanism modeling of the shield shell and the main magnetic circuit is given, and the problem of the magnetic leakage of the shield shell weakening the effective electromagnetic force is analyzed. The static bias excitation method is adopted to make the part of the shield shell corresponding to the magnetic poles approximately magnetically saturated. Strive to produce more effective control electromagnetic force and enhance the bearing capacity of the rotor. In addition, considering the phenomenon that the electromagnetic force relatively lags behind the controlled magnetic potential caused by the eddy current effect of the shielding shell, which is likely to cause rotor suspension failure, the method is proposed to speed up the electromagnetic force response and build a physical platform to achieve Radial control.
