Abstract
In this paper, we study a two-species Lotka–Volterra competition patch model over a stream, where the individuals are subject to both random and directed movements and the two species are assumed to be identical except for the movement rates. We treat one species as the resident species and the other one as a mutant/invading species and study whether the resident species can be invaded. We also obtain the global dynamics of the model for certain parameter ranges.
