Abstract

Ultra-Wideband (UWB) signals occupy huge bandwidth in the frequency domain with low power efficiency, and interferences, including multi-path interference, multiple access interference and co-channel sinusoidal interference, will reduce the system performance significantly. In this paper, a fractional Fourier transform (FrFT) based interferences suppression method is then proposed, and all the above interferences can be suppressed by using the narrow band property of Chirp signal in the fractional Fourier transform domain. Simulation results show that the resulting signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) can be improved significantly.
