Abstract
Interface structure and shear strength were studied in this paper when TiC ceramic and iron were brazed with NiCrSiB filler metal. The result showed; Under definite condition, TiC diffused from TiC ceramic to the inner of NiCrSiB, as well as[Ni,Fe] and Ni(s.s) formed in NiCrSiB filler metal and on TiC ceramic/iron interface. When brazing temperature was 1373 K and brazing time was 20 min, the highest shear strength of TiC ceramic/iron joint was up to 78.6 MPa.
