T1 - Intellectual property valuation method based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and its application

N2 - Intellectual properties are the most active and valuable production factors of the current society. People usually deal with intellectual property for transactions, transfer, pledge financing, securitization and legal compensation problem, etc. Intellectual property valuation is the key link to solve these problems. At present, income discount approach is the method which is most commonly used. However, it has some shortcomings, such as: (1)the application premise is harsh and (2) the discount rate is difficult to determine. This article presents the improved model based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method for the purpose of solving those shortcomings of income discount approach. This improved model divides the process of intellectual property value evaluation into two steps. First, we add the discount rate gotten by the GM (1,1) dynamic forecasting method into the income approach discount formula and obtain the initial evaluation value. Second, we rectify the deviation by using fuzzy synthetic evaluation model and obtain the final evaluation value. After the construction of the theoretical model, we apply the model into actual cases and reach reasonable evaluation results.
