Abstract

Rotor position detection is important for servo system design. A new integrated position sensor is described in this paper. The sensor is easy to manufacture and has better precision with easier signal processing circuit and software based on a DSP. The sensor is used in a two-phase hybrid stepping motor position servo system. The integrated sensor and the proper control strategy make the system become a low-cost high-performance position servo system.
