Abstract

Infrared radiative properties of elliptic cylindrical optical black holes (ECOBHs) are numerical analyzed using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method in this paper. And the Poynting vectors obtained by the FDTD method were compared with the ray trajectories calculated by the geometric optics approximation (GOA). The results show that the Poynting vectors obtained by the FDTD method agree well with the ray trajectories calculated by the GOA. The infrared radiative properties of ECOBHs are mainly affected by gradient index and incident wavelength.
