Abstract

Smart grid is the latest trend for world's electric power systems reform. Power monitoring system is one of most important components of smart grid. An excellent information model is the basics of information exchange and sharing. Firstly, it is proposed by analyzing problems of information exchange in power monitoring system, and an information object model of terminal device is established in this framework. Then, timing diagrams of sending and receiving under polling and cyclic mode are provided, which are based on object model. Lastly, messaging performances and applicability on the two kinds of triggering modes are compared by examples. The proposed triggering modes are proved suitable for messaging of power monitoring system.
