Abstract
In this paper, we propose an information-bearing reconfigurable intelligent surface (IB-RIS) enabled non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) communication mobile edge computing (MEC) network, wherein each Internet-of-Things device is equipped with an IB-RIS and a central processing unit (CPU) for data offloading and local computing. Specifically, the IB-RIS serves as the information transmitter by employing backscatter modulation and superimposing computation tasks to be offloaded onto the reflection coefficient. Our goal is to maximize the weighted sum of computation bits by jointly adjusting the active and passive beamforming vectors at the power beacon and IB-RISs, the local computing frequency and time. Simulation results illustrate the effectiveness and superiority of the presented system and algorithm.
