Abstract
The performance of rectangular compressor cascades composed of different swept blades was studied by static pressure measurement, flow visualization and probe measurement. The result of experiment showed the pitch-wise pressure gradient of swept-forward cascade's passage reduced and a negative 'C' type distribution of static pressure formed on the suction surface, which was propitious to reducing the accumulation of low energy fluid at corner but increased loss at midspan. The swept-curved cascade strengthened the trend mentioned above, and possessed more strongly capability of reducing endwall loss and delaying flow separation at corner. Optimize study needed for this blade to achieve further improvement of aerodynamic performance.
