Abstract
The ratio of height to diameter of the cyclone gasifier is high. In order to improve the gas quality come from rice husk gasification and increase the carbon conversion of cyclone gasification, the gasifier temperature can be optimized by air staged technology. Based on air staged technology, two-staged gasification and three-staged gasification were investigated to improve rice husk cyclone gasification performance in an improved cyclone gasifier in this study. The experimental results showed that it is suitable for the secondary air injection is set at the lower part of the outer cyclone chamber. The optimal equivalence ratio of two-staged gasification is 0.23-0.26. While the gasifier temperature is in the range of 800-900℃, which is favorable to the gasification reaction between char and steam. When the secondary air ratio is 30%, the carbon conversion is increased by 11.2%, while the lower heating value of the produced gas is increased by 18.4% compared with the single stage gasification. The maximum value of the carbon conversion of rice husk cyclone gasification is 55.5%. The influence of three-staged gasification on increasing the carbon conversion of the rice husk gasification is not obvious. The yield of the produced gas is constant approximately when the air distribution is changed.
