Abstract
The influence of Ni content on adiabatic temperature of Ti-C-Ni system was studied. The results show that process parameters significantly influence the combustion synthesis procedure of Ti-C-Ni system. The combustion temperature and velocity decrease with the increase of Ni content, diluent content and Ti particle size. Ni participates in the exothermic reaction of Ti-C-Ni system. The best relative density of preform is 50%-60%.
