Abstract
Influences of five inlet total pressure radial distortions on the action of bowed blade are numerical investigated to further study the application conditions for bowed blade. It is found that the type of the inlet total pressure distortion affects the action of bowed blade. The effects include; distortion zone's thickness and difference between total pressure in main flow and that near end-walls. When distortion zone is moderately thicker or the difference of total pressure is greater, the flow capacity is more evidently strengthened near end-walls after bowed blade is used. Consequently the cascade performance is improved and total pressure loss is reduced near suction corner to more extent.
