Abstract
Micro holes are widely used in the fields of biological and medical treatment, micro-electronic, textile dyeing devices with high precision, good quality of sheared edge and dimension stability, which can satisfy the industrial demands of low cost and mass production. Micro-punching has advantages for metal forming with high mass production, simple process and fine property and high dimensional precision, which is very suitable to mass production of micro-parts. In the paper, influence laws of blanking conditions (blanking clearance and blanking velocity) on micro punching of metal foil were investigated. The results show that relative blanking clearance and blanking velocity have significant effect on the dimensional accuracy and cross section of micro hole. The optimum technological parameters are obtained: the relative blanking clearance and shearing velocity are 5% and 100 s-1, respectively. In the end, the micro hole of 0.6 mm in diameter was manufactured with good quality on the optimum blanking condition of 5% of relative blanking clearance and 50 mm/s of punching velocity.
