Abstract

The research on industrial value chain(IVC) theory in Chinese academia occupies a dominate position worldwide, but its quantitative research problem has not yet been solved adequately due to the lack of effective mathematical models. IVC was segmented into several industrial phases and then was visually expressed with a directed connected graph, and then IVC model was constructed by means of industrial value matrix. Furthermore, two evaluating indices - throughput ratio and reliability - were presented based on industrial value matrix so that some computable approaches to evaluate the competitive capability of a specific IVC were obtained.
