Abstract

Cascaded H-bridge STATCOM is widely adopted to regulate the power quality in power grid and industrial application. Considering the existence of zero-sequence voltage which cannot be neglected in the simulation model, this paper proposed an improved clustered voltage balancing strategy based on negative-sequence current injection. The proposed method takes the zero-sequence voltage into consideration and provide better balancing performance. Simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness of proposed control strategy.
