Abstract

A new imaging model for space objects was produced to simulate the imaging characteristic of space objects detected by space remote sensor. By employing the known luminous flux computing formula of space objects with the assumption that the geometric appearance of space object is globose, the object star-magnitude model was produced. Based on CCD and optical system parameters of space remote sensor, the point source signal intensity response and picture of space objects in focal plane of the space remote sensor were obtained on perfect observation conditions. The energy distribution model of lined imaging of space objects in focal plane of the space remote sensor on actual observation conditions was created. According to above models, the dynamic frame sequence of space objects in different observation conditions was simulated, which can be applied to the detecting and identifying simulation algorithms of space objects.
