Illumination distribution measurement of flashlight cast system based on digital camera

Abstract

The digital camera records a object by sampling it into a number of pixels, each of whose intensity depends on the amount of light received by it - illumination. Based on this principle, illumination distribution measurement experiments of flashlight cast system are done. First, the digital camera grabs gray maps of the surface of the irradiated objects, and then image is analyzed quantitatively and processed by photoshop image processing software and Matlab, at last the indensity distribution condition of flashlight cast system is obtained. The test method is easy and original, and its measuring accuracy can satisfy the demand of engineering application.
