N2 - In the context of moral education and talent cultivation in the new era, integrating ideological and political education into specialized university courses has become a significant trend in current educational reforms. The course Engineering Consulting, as a key elective for engineering management majors, faces a critical challenge in effectively integrating ideological and political elements to achieve synergy between professional knowledge and ideological education. This study employed bibliometric analysis methods to systematically identify research hotspots and trends in the field of engineering consulting, clarifying existing gaps between current teaching content and frontier developments. Subsequently, the study proposed a target-oriented ideological and political teaching framework grounded in value cultivation and provided specific strategies for optimizing teaching models, which were then applied and validated through practical teaching cases. The findings indicate that integrating value-oriented ideological education into the curriculum significantly enhances students' comprehensive qualities and professional competencies, effectively promoting the deep integration of ideological education and professional instruction. This study contributes practical experiences and theoretical insights to the construction of ideological and political education in engineering management programs; however, given the limited sample size, future research should expand the scope of practice and conduct longitudinal assessments of teaching effectiveness.
