Abstract

An electrical model of synchronous generator is established by Matlab/Simulink with exciting voltage of the generator fluctuated. By using the Park transformation and fast Fourier transformation (FFT), the electrical data including the fundamental component of currents and voltages of direct axis and quadrature axis, and the exciting voltage are obtained, which are used for identifying parameters. Further, according to the six-order electrical generator model and the corresponding differential equations, the synchronous generator parameters are identified. The differential equations are solved by the improved Euler method. During the identification, the steady state parameters are calculated firstly for decreasing the dimension of unknown parameters, and then the transient parameters are obtained by using the improved particle swarm optimization (PSO). The correctness of the method is proved by the simulation identification result.
