Identification of structural parameters and damage characteristics based on the time domain matrix reconfiguration method

Abstract

A method of time domain matrix reconfiguration and detecting damage in structure using the ambient exciting information is presented in this paper. Unlike most methods found in the literatures, the method of time domain reconfiguration matrix is prioritized according to their ability to trace the statistical dynamic output of structure based on whole standard deviation between of measured stations. This is in line with the requirements for structural damage localization. A fast algorithm for calculating matrix general inverse in the process of extracting parameters is used based on second order residual technique, and the finite-element of structure and updating model are instrumented to localization damage based on the minimum perturbation residual force method. Results from number simulated and a scale mode of offshore platform are investigated.
