Abstract

The deformation behaviors between blanks are much different when two kinds of material sheets are hydroformed. The behaviors and interactioin effect of two blanks were analyzed by stress method. Three pairs of blanks of material DC04 and DP450 were used for the hydroforming of double hemispheres by numerical simulations and experiments. The blank flow-in, the height of forming parts and the thickness distribution were investigated and the results proved that the stress analysis was correct. The study shows that the blank with lower strength will be formed before the blank with higher strength, and the former will drive the latter to be deformed. However, the latter will restrain the deformation of the former. As a result, there is a certain synergy deformation between the two blanks.
