Abstract

The hybrid testing method plays more and more important roles on seismic investigation in nowadays. The professional finite element software is the good choice to simulate the numerical substructure for better simulation accuracy. This paper intends to simulate the numerical substructures by using the professional finite element software OpenSees. This paper proposes the hybrid testing systems by using the finite element software OpenSees, interface software OpenFresco, and experimental control dSPACE/LabVIEW, and validates the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed hybrid testing system experimentally. It is shown that the OpenSees, OpenFresco, and experimental control dSPACE/LabVIEW can work well together to conduct hybrid tests, and the proposed hybrid testing systems behavior excellent performance in terms of stability and accuracy.
