Abstract

A new altitude estimation initializing algorithm is proposed in HFSWR background. By adopting Height-Parameterized EKF (HPEKF) technique, the weight of each filter with a different initial altitude is calculated recursively to approach real target altitude. Monte Carlo simulation shows this algorithm can provide initial altitude value with small relative error for equal altitude targets in initializing period.
