Abstract

Despite the importance of understanding the team’s aspects of organizational decision-making, prior research has paid scant attention to the role of teams in escalation of commitment. This article attempts to fill this gap by examining the relationship between team’s trait anxiety and escalation of commitment. Furthermore, this study extends research on team’s escalation behavior by investigating the mediating role of risk propensity in teams. Our results demonstrate the risk propensity mediate the relationship between team’s trait anxiety and escalation of commitment. Practical implications and some limitations has discussed.
