Abstract

On the basis of the test results of a full-scale hot-state explosion test a calculation and analysis was conducted of the explosion pressure of the following: square-box test parts, nodular cast-iron boiler, grey cast-iron boiler and grey cast-iron boiler plates. As a result, obtained were the relevant safety factors recommended for selection. The tests and analysis indicate that the safe and reliable operation of cast-iron boilers can be assured.
