Abstract
A kind of Ti-43Al-9V-0.3Y alloy sheet material was prepared by hot-pack rolling method. The thickness of this rolled sheet is about 2.2 mm, and the overall rolling reduction is about 78%. Microstructure observation of Ti-43Al-9V-0.3Y alloy sheet indicates that the grains in the as-rolled condition are elongated in the rolling direction, and new recrystallized grains size is less than 5 μn. In addition, the shape of most rare earth-rich phases dispersing in the matrix is near spheroid. The mechanical property tests show that rolling apparently enhances the strength and elongation of Ti-43Al-9V-0.3Y alloy.
