Abstract
Zirconium diboride powders were obtained by electrolysis of a molten KCl-KF eutectic mixture, containing 15 wt % K2ZrF6 and 15 wt % KBF4, in the range of cathode current density from 0.3 to 1.0 A cm-2 at 1023 K. The effect of cathode current density on the average size of zirconium diboride crystals was studied.
