Abstract
The electromagnetic design and mechanical design are studied in this paper. A novel simple method is used to detect the rotor position of PMSM (permanent magnet synchronous motor) to overcome the limitation of other recent detecting methods. Based on CRPWM (current regulate PWM), a drive system of a high-speed PMSM is designed. The dead-time effect of the inverter is compensated. Experimental results show that this system is reliable and high-efficiency and has low torque ripple.
