High Resolution Image Reconstruction Technology Based on Few Photon Signal of Target

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

By improving its own gain performance, low light level imaging detection system based on microchannel plate(MCP) can collect weak signals that are difficult to observe by human eyes. However, when the detection system improves its own electronic gain, it will aggravate the image diffusion phenomenon collected by the detection system, which will seriously affect the imaging quality of the detection system. In order to improve the imaging quality of the detection system based on MCP under the experimental condition of high gain, in this paper, we present a high resolution imaging technique based on single photon signals experimentally. Under the condition of high gain, it is difficult for human eyes to recognize the target image acquired by the detection system based on MCP. However, the resolution of the target image can be improved to 28.57lp/mm through the reconstruction technology presentd in this paper.
